Infra-red photographs will be used this winter by North Howe
Transition Toun in their ongoing project to save energy and reduce carbon emissions in the Letham/ Collessie and Giffordtown area. CaRB Project Manager Tom Morton said ‘ we had a great response to our recent community survey, and are now following it up by taking thermal Images homes in the NHTT area. These will provide residents with a visual snapshot of where heat leaks out of their home. It can highlight where we might add insulation or draught proofing.’
Images will be made available to the householders for their information in February at events in the three village halls. Details of these events, which will launch the project’s local Toolkit of energy saving measures, will follow in the New Year. Tom added ‘If any local resident does not want their home to be photographed in this way, please let our Coordinator Louise know or tel 07879996845
