One of our members has alerted us to a new issue of shares by Triodos Renewables, in which he has been a contented shareholder for many years.  This share issue is the latest is a series that provides capital to create new renewables capacity – that’s why we are mentioning here.  Their website indicates a return of 9% although our member says around 6% has been achieved over the last few years from a preceding share – even that seems a heck of a lot better than the banks.  Closing date for subscription is 30th August.

The bakers have been busy turning their hands to decorating, cleaning and removals. In the passed month we have cleaned and decorated the kitchen in Collessie Hall which is starting to look more like bakery especially as we have now moved in our worktable, oven and prover. We are waiting for a date for installation of the oven from the electrician. Once this has been done we will arrange a visit from our Environmental Health officer and hopefully open for business in August. We will initially be opening for 40 subscriptions so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to one of the first subscribers to this exciting community project.

We will initially be offering 2 types of loaf:

A Country White based on a French Boule

Our Traditional Malted Brown Loaf

We have selected these based on the feedback we received from the pilot carried out earlier in the year. For more information on how to subscribe download a leaflet today.
