Starting any new business requires start up finance for premises, equipment, stock & labour. In order to raise the start up capital that we will need to launch this business we are going to make a ‘Community Share Offer’, the offer is only available to local people. The shares will be set at a reasonable level to allow as many people as possible to purchase them.
As a shareholder you will be able to have our say in how the business is run through the community co-operative board.
The shareholders will be eligible for a premium from the annual profit decided by the board. It may be that the board will choose to reinvest in the bakery or invest in new community business.
More information about this proposed scheme will follow soon. For more information get in touch with Neil
