Neil Stoddart, lives in Bow of Fife, where he runs his renewable energy business. He is currently an energy champion, willing to help whenever he can to lower folks energy bills. Often found behind the bar at ‘Transition Tavern’ evenings. He roams the countryside providing assistance to newly forming transition groups in Fife. He is a Director of Transition Scotland Support, the national body for Transition as well as his NHTT roles

Hello Transition friends

I contacted Transition North Howe and Fife a while ago to share what I have found out about growing perennial vegetables and I wanted to let you know that I have now written a book that gives full descriptions of the project and how other people can do something similar. It is called “Edible Perennial Gardening” and information about it is available on the Permanent Publications website.

I live in the West Midlands of the UK, where (probably like you) we have had very variable and extreme weather over recent years. Despite these difficult conditions I have found perennial veggies are generally very hardy and resilient. They also need very little attention and take remarkably little time and effort. Therefore I believe that they are a very useful addition to any garden or allotment.

For the past two years I have published a blog about the garden, the veggies and the methods I use. This can be seen at annisveggies dot wordpress dot com

I am keen to help anyone who is interested in perennial vegetables so please contact me if you have any queries on annisveggies at hotmail dot co dot uk.
